Never mind, my love;
You were never meant for me;
I don't want to make you stay;
Where you never want to be;
Listen to the River;
Gently flowing by
Spending a lazy afternoon;
Under a blue and cloudless sky;
Holding hands under a willow;
Dreaming of a better day;
But too soon you'll break my heart;
As you turn and walk away;
Time is cruel and unforgiving;
As we turn old and gray;
It's a shame we never figured out;
How to make love stay

    Love can never be MADE to stay. It just is or isn't. As the old saying goes, "If you let it go and it returns, it was meant to be. If not, it wasn't." Or something like that. Love the subtle sweet emotions you bring out in your words.
