Never Pass a Puddle Without Jumping in It

Jane Vee
It rained most of today. As 2:00 approached, I was worried about getting wet when I had to take my son off the bus. Our floors are all tile and it really hurts to fall. Being wet is just "asking for it".

By the time my son arrived, it had stopped raining so at least we did not get too wet. The puddle at the end of the driveway stretched half way across the road. I did not wear shoes knowing that the water was well over shoe height.

I carried my son across the puddle and up to the house. Then, I dried my feet just to go pick up my daughter from her school. I dried my feet and took the towel with us to school. I knew we would need it. Why? You are probably wondering. Well, we have to splash!

I found my daughter and as we walked the corridors (all outside) we stopped for every wet mark on the concrete. By the time we got to the vehicle, she had to take her shoes off to pry her wet, soaking socks from her feet. I had to dry myself as well.

Funny how I was worried about getting wet from the rain when I was going to splash in puddles anyway.

Good for you! Nothing beats a good two 'foots' puddle splash.
