Many people talk about the one who got away
the one they still yearn for deep inside
And for me, that one has always been you
I could tell by the way you spoke my name
how deep your kiss would be
And by how you saw the world
I knew just how you'd look at me
I knew how you would smile by the sound of your laughter
And the depth of your voice told me just how strong you were
But I never found out for sure if any of this were true

so while I still think about you every day
