Never Run Away

Never Run Away

Last night I lay awake as the clock went round and round
Thinking about the things I'd lost, wondering what I'd found
I couldn't help but wonder if I'd done the things I should
I wondered if I'd change my life, or even if I could
I've fallen deep at times and sometimes I fell hard
I've lived in the heart of Hell and in the hands of God

I've been through Heaven and I've been through Hell
But I never thought that I'd live to tell
But here I am again today
I might burn out but I'll never run away

I lost a lot of friendships but I gained a whole lot more
Life just ain't worth living til it's worth dying for
Lord knows I've paid my dues in blood time and time again
One day I'll pay the last I got and that'll be the end

I been through Heaven and I been through Hell
And I never thought that I'd live to tell
But here I am, again today
I might burn out but I'll never run away
