Never Be Tired Again

Lisa Mooney
You have your long days followed by long nights in which you don't slow down. Your schedule is overloaded and everyone depends on you to keep doing for them. Unfortunately, your energy is lagging and all you want to do is lie down. Tiredness persists through every activity you perform. Never feeling rested leaves you anxious, irritable and worn to the proverbial frazzle. Overcome your fatigue and feel better with home remedies that treat both your mind and body.

Take a vacation. Time off may be just what you need to refresh yourself. Make it a getaway that is truly relaxing so skip the amusement parks and think spa environment instead.

Lose pounds if you are overweight. One of the chief causes of fatigue is carrying too much weight. Dropping the excess can give you back the energy you have lost and enable you to do more without tiring as quickly.

Build your muscles for endurance. Lift weights and engage in resistance training to add physical strength. You will notice a bump in energy as a result of your efforts.

Reduce the stresses in your life. Yoga, meditation and trimming down a too full schedule will breathe new life in your day. You will feel less tired and more motivated to complete what is necessary in a productive efficient manner.

Schedule a power nap during the day. Lie down for ten minutes in which you clear your mind and catch a couple of winks. Don't sleep longer than this or it might interfere with your night sleep.

Exercise for 30 minutes at least three times per week to treat fatigue. Find a physical activity that motivates you such as learning to dance the samba or joining a cycling club.

Identify the activities which tire you the most. Work to reduce these activities or find ways in which to complete them without overtiring yourself. For example, if daily errands are wearing you down try assigning one day to getting them done and say "no" to unnecessary tasks.

Indulge in a relaxing activity after your work day as a home remedy for your tiredness. Take a relaxing bath, inhale aromatic oils while listening to soothing music or work a jigsaw puzzle. Let your mind and body recover from the day's labor.

Develop a consistent sleep routine. Pick a bedtime that allows you at least 8 hours of sleep at night and stick to it. Turn off all lights and the television. Clear your mind by journaling for a few minutes prior to going to bed.

Extra Tips:

Add healthy fresh foods to your diet and cut down on processed meals.

Sip water throughout the day to keep you hydrated and energized.

Cut out caffeine consumption a few hours prior to bedtime so it does not interfere with getting a good night's sleep.

Don't smoke. It robs you of lung power causing your energy level to drop.
