the ways it could be so hollow, the ways it can bear so many lies.
A life that once had lost its luster, trying to polish it so it can shine.
She is determined still to make a change, and she will if she tries.
There are reasons for everything, this she damn well knows.
She died just for a moment, and looked back at this saddened shell.
She wanted to die, and she had her foolish reasons why,
but a force came through her sending her back to the form she hadn't known so well.
It wasn't her time, it wasn't her fate.
There was so much more she needed to do.
She grew angry, she grew tired, and tears had fallen from her eyes.
She witnessed pain, she witnessed suffering, but her love would carry her somehow through.
She wasn't meant to follow, for she was led upon her course.
She needed to be here for some reason, given somehow a second chance.
Determined to make a change, in the face of reality and what life and death mean.
Determined to make the time she has left here somehow better. Determined to hold her stance.
This is her fate as determined by the day she looked down upon her own face. She needed to share her heart, let go of her pain, and understand what life sometimes has to give,
and when fate has brought the last breath of death,
she believes the souls continue to live.
Maybe just in one life touched rendered through a kindness of the heart.
Perhaps one moment to give a smile, some laughter with some friends,
and if fate so determines that it's the body's time to rest,
they will carry her love through, proving that life never really ends.
