Neverland when Mercy Fell

Early Rahmer
so you know what I am thinking?
do you feel what I dream?
can't you see that I am aching
to be more than I seem?

wrap me up in your illusion.
serve me up a second plate.
yeah, it's your mind I'm abusing,
leave me now it's not too late.

okay, we said it was forever
tomorrow said it ain't so
maybe now it's now or never
now you know never never shows.

so my arbitrary madness
chooses your way out the door.
forget the flight; forget the sadness
be just like you were before.

so you got the answer to me
don't even have to wonder why
I know you don't see right through me
truth is living with the lie.

drag you from the cold and even;
spurn my heaven? burn in hell!
no, I never quit believing
not even after Mercy fell.

I wave goodbye going home to you;
you gave up as soon as I gave in.
feeling lost like I belonged to you;
burned through the pocket you put me in.

see my fall into confusion
offer me an arm of thorns
no, you ain't my solution
on my own I'll be reborn.
