New 50 Cent Album on June 25th

A new 50 Cent album titled Curtis will hit the stores on June 25th of this year. Eminem will reportedly make an appearance on the album as well as Mary J. Blige and Justin Timberlake.

Hold up one second, why is Justin Timberlake on 50 Cents new album? Justin Timberlake has no business on 50 Cents new album. I have absolutely no idea why 50 would agree to this, or why any of his crew didn't intervene with having Timberlake on this album. It should be very interesting to see how many tracks he will be on and what exactly his lines on the album will be. We do know that the ladies love him.

50 Cent in this writers opinion has not topped his 1999 album Power of the Dollar and his got progressively worse with each album he has released. Although Get Rich or Die Trying a great album it pales in comparison with his harder more street sounding underground music. The Massacre in many fans opinions was the worst work of his career, and he has appeared on a number of less then great sounding tracks. 50 Cent almost became annoying and P-Diddy like, and it was not a pretty sight to see. .

Overall 50 Cent is a good artist that just needs to get in touch with his roots again. Sadly, that never happens once an artist has let the money affect them. Money changes everyone and that is just the way life is. 50 Cent will never be able to rap about being broke or having to sell drugs for money again, that act is tired and played out, so all he can do is rap about how much money he has and women he can get with like everyone else.

Soon the hip-hop genre as a whole will need to reinvent itself because of this very fact, and it may be the downfall of hip-hop it self. 50 Cent can do nothing to stop it, and the only thing that keeps the genre running is the fact that new artist with new stories come out. However, rarely does an artist of 50 Cent's fame and wealth come around and they almost always go the road of their predecessors and brag too much on the mic with redundance.

Of course this writer will write a review on 50 Cents new album, 50 Cents new album could very well be a hit and he could be one of the great ones that break the mold occasionally. We will see with the release of Curtis in stores June 25th.
