I really like Jennifer Lopez, don't get me wrong, but the judges bore me a little quite frankly. Steven Tyler's deep emotions are sweet and all but I am not thrilled with this new season of judges so far. At first glance the diversity seemed like it would make for a good show but it seems to be a bit lame.
Jennifer is too proper and I don't think this is the right venue for her. I know that many J-Lo fans will disagree with me because she has really die hard fans but that is just my opinion. Steven Tyler is great but there needs to be a candid straight talker for the show to gain proper popularity it once had. Ryan Seacrest is always Seacrest, that doesn't change. He still remains America's live version of the Ken doll.
The contestants always offer up some great real life drama that changes a little each year but the judges really make the show. They steer the direction of where the show goes. I think people really liked the bickering between Simon and the rest of the crew. That made for great TV. Now Idol has become what all of the talent shows these days seem to be. They have become unoriginal.
They still have a chance to redeem themselves but I am not convinced that the show can live up to the Simon, Paula and Randy team it once was. Time will tell.

Post a CommentSteven Tyler Rocks. The show doesn't NEED to have a mean judge. It's a totally different show. Nobody needs to be a bad copy of the Original Simon Cowell. I love the show . We are treated to kindness for a change. I have watched American Idol for nine years.
I keep missing this show but thanks for your opinion.
I know a lot of people miss Simon....but, to me, the new judges are a refreshing change:)
