New Ben Stein Documentary 'Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed' to Push Intelligent Design and Question Darwinism
For those of you that do not remember back to the old school days, I will take a moment to remind you about what Darwin taught.
In 1859, Charles Darwin published his work, On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life (Commonly called The Origin of Species). The book explained that the world had been taught the wrong ideal for years as to how humans came to Earth. He explained the course of evolution and let the world know about how we evolved from apes.
While this theory has been debated for years by scientists, and religious, evolution has been predominately taught in schools and universities. The majority of the members of the scientific community has scoffed at the other two theories of creationism and, "intelligent design," for decades.
"Intelligent design," takes both creationism and evolution into consideration and blends them into a congruent theory. "Intelligent design," teaches that evolution did happen, but it was guided by a higher source then just happenstance. It explains that God must have guided evolution to eventually lead to where we are now, or where we will be eventually in the future.
In the upcoming documentary, Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, Ben Stein will be looking into the reasons why the theory of, "intelligent design," has been ignored for so long by the majority of the scientific community. Stein will be looking into different cases in which professors have been harassed by universities for teaching the alternative theory of, "intelligent design."
Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, will also explore the cases of some scientist that have been scoffed by the scientific community for exploring the theory of, "intelligent design." These scientists claim that they have not been able to publish studies on, "intelligent design," in scientific journals because of the prejudice against the theory.
Ben Stein has been touring to bring more interest to Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, on college campuses. There are many students that are jumping on board in support of the movie since Ben Stein presses that Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed presses for the termination of the censorship involved and for the support of religion.
There is also a lot of members of the scientific community that are up in arms over the movie because they believe that Ben Stein and the producers of the movie have misquoted some of the scientists that were interviewed by the movie. They believe that Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed is a farce that will distract the scientific community.
It will be interesting to see how much of a buzz will, "evolve," over Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. We will have to wait until February to see how well this movie will do.

Post a CommentI love Ben Stien. I used to just like him. Mr. Stein, Thank You for enlightening me and our fellow human beings. Please expose us to additonal intelligent information.
I am amazed that people generally insist that one view or the other is the only explanation of creation. Am I the only one who sees the simple truth? Do none of the 'Darwinists" ever wonder that science finds the progression of human history following the presentation by Moses? How did Moses know that the earth was entirely covered with water? How did he know that sea creatures were the first life forms? How did he know in which life 'evolved' on the earth? Every instance of "new" scientific discovery falls into the same progression as the story of creation in Genesis. Had Moses written the story of millions, actually billions of years, who in his day and time would have believed, it let alone understood what he wrote? Moses certainly had no first hand knowledge of creation. What he wrote was inspired. Inspired by God, the Creator, the superior intelligence or whatever name you wish to use. Every time I hear of a 'new discovery" by "science", I find that it fits neatly in
I loved the Ben Stein documentary. The human body is so complex almost as complex as the universe (PERFECT). Science proves that the UNIVERSE is perfect just like the human body. My theory is that evolution has to affect in the planet Earth and out like space and it does not so that is why I am sticking to INTELLIGENT DESIGN by GOD. EVOLUTION is not PERFECT.
I loved it,the science community is black balling anyone who wants to discuss Intelligent Design ,why cant it be more balanced ? Darwinism has huge holes in its theory!
I just watched Ben Stein's documentary and I think it is a mess. What does eugenics have to do with the current debate over creationism? What does attacking Darwinism gain? I myself think that Earth was not created by chance, that the odds against the spontaneous appearance of life are too high. I wished this documentary was less sensationalist. I also wished the scientist who believe in some sort of intelligence design had a chance of explaining their ideas.
Too bad the writer can't spell:
"evolution has been predominately taught"
should be
"evolution has been predominantly taught"
Anyway Intelligent Design is a thin disguise for straight bible stories - which should be given credit as stories - but only that
How come "intelligent" design isn't?
Intelligent design is religion. It can't be studied by scientists because there is no data to look at, it is all conjecture. Science has no bias other than what the data it studies proves. Since there is no data, science has no bias about it. It's like trying to measure the weight of an angel. Science can't do it, only religious scholars can do that. Angels are immeasurable, so science has no time for them. If you can't measure it, science, by definition, can't participate. That's why you won't find the weight of an angel in a science book. That's why religious ideas like "intelligent" design can't be studied by science. Its not measurable. If you want to learn about creationism or intelligent design, ask your local religious authority. I'm sure they can make something up for you.
Intelligent design is not a theory in the scientific sense, in that it hasn't passed the rigorous tests of the scientific method the way that The Theory of Evolution has. Intelligent design is an hypothesis that is based on religious ideas, not on data. It will never be able to become a theory because there is no data to confirm or disconfirm. From a scientific point of view intelligent design is as much a theory as the existence of unicorns. There is no data. Therefore there is nothing that science can do for the hypothesis of intelligent design. Teaching of intelligent design will always end up being confined to the disciplines of theology.
All hail the Flying Spaghetti Monster!
