New Blog to Promote Associated Content Poetry and Writers

Jeffrey Weeks
I have just launched a new blog to promote poetry writing on Associated Content called Dionysus Mused.

The blog is an attempt to recognize some of the great voices publishing poetry on Associated Content, many of whom publish terrific poems that can get lost in the crowd of daily news, gossip, and more widely distributed how-to articles.

As a writer I focus on a lot of different subjects such as saltwater fishing, cooking, my favorite television shows, and my favorite sports teams. I promote them through my online blogs including A Dash Of Salty and On the Fringe. I am currently publishing an entire novel online in blog form and through Associated Content at my blog Lafayette.

Dionysus Mused is another attempt to promote AC writing to a broader audience. Poetry is one of my favorite forms of expression. I especially fell in love with it during the time I was teaching Literature to high school students.

As a classroom teacher for 13 years I grew to love poetry as both an art form and a great form of expression for people, young and old.

Dionysus Mused is open to any poetry writer published on the internet and is especially geared toward Associated Content poets. Only poems published previously on Associated Content or a similar venue will be posted. Poems will all be linked to the original posting. Hopefully this will help increase some of the Page Views for Associated Content poets.

If you have a suggestion for a poem to appear on Dionysus Mused you can email me with the poem title and link at saltyweeks@gmail.com. I cannot respond to every single email but I will look through and put my favorite poems on the blog to give them wider exposure.

You can see the poetry blog Dionysus Mused through the link below, as well as my other blogs all of which feature writing from Associated Content by myself or others.

As soon as I get my poetry up here on AC, I will be looking into this. It's so hard for poets to get their work known and make money, this is a very kind gesture.

Just visited the site. Magnificent idea. Articles may make the money, but poetry can meld mind and heart with the planet's pulse. This poet thanks you.
