New Britney Spears Video Debuts on 20/20
Is the Pop Starlet Going to Continue Her Decline, or is This the Start of Something New?
So, how did Britney Spears look in her new video? Much the same way she looked during her MTV Awards show flop. In the video, Britney Spears wore a black, sparkly bra that was very similar to the one she wore during her lackluster performance during the MTV Awards. This time, Britney Spears wore a short, fur vest over the bra, but her abdomen was bare and her tight jeans were low, exposing a tummy that already has suffered the scrutiny of everyone from so-called fashion experts to tabloid reporters to anyone and everyone associated to the music industry.
Britney Spears' hair, or lack thereof, still seems to be a problem for the troubled starlet. In her "Piece of Me" video, Britney Spears has long, blonde hair extensions that are only slightly better coifed than the night she allegedly fought with hairstylist Ken Paves before her MTV performance. Ken Paves walked out on Britney Spears after she complained that she was more comfortable with females around her. Britney Spears' hair problems became apparent to the public when she interviewed with Matt Lauer during her second pregnancy. Her stringy locks and contrasting dark roots shocked Britney Spears' fans and celebrity watchers nationwide. Then, in what has been called the biggest celebrity meltdown of 2007, Britney Spears walked into a hair salon, grabbed a pair of hair clippers, and shaved her own head when the salon owner refused.
Britney Spears can be seen performing choreographed dance moves in her new video. Though the routines are not as sharp and exciting as those she performed in her concerts and videos of her younger years, they are cleaner than the lackluster performance she gave at the MTV Awards show. Of course, the show was performed live and didn't give Britney Spears an opportunity for retakes, as she can get when filming a new video.
Britney Spears new video, "Piece of Me" is her response to the constant barrage of photographers that follow her everywhere she goes. If not for them, however, the American public probably would have already forgotten who Britney Spears ever was.

Post a CommentPoor Britney. I hope she can get it together soon.
Good for Britney. The media should leave this poor woman who is obviously suffering from some sort of depression alone while she works to rebuild her life.
My niece can out-dance Britney Spears. I am serious about that. My niece is really good. She can outdance a lot of people.
When I first heard "Piece of me" I had to laugh because I'd recently finished a satirical article about Britney. It is actually a good pop song.
