New Celebrate Birmingham Parade Route Issues

Even though the Celebrate Birmingham Parade is still months away (March 15^th, 2011), there are many Birmingham residents that have been finding issues with the changes in the parade route. The complaint centers around the fact that the parade route in 2011 will be along certain areas that will make it difficult for spectators to view the parade.

The complaint appears to center around the fact that much of parade route includes areas directly in front of stores and boutiques in Birmingham. These residents are worried that store owners will not be kind to those that sit directly outside of their stores, or store windows during the Celebrate Birmingham Parade.

To this point, there has not bee a statement made about this issue by the Birmingham City Council, or by the Celebrate Birmingham Parade organizers. Remember, though, that there is still a long time between now, and the day of the parade to work out any issues.
