Target is a great place to find comfy basic T-shirts, leggings and tops. Every girl needs thin-fabric ribbed tank tops that hit right at the thigh for layering casual outfits. The politically incorrect name for these are wife-beater tops. The Hanes brand still has the best ones I've found. They sit perfectly right at the hip and are a nice soft fabric. Target is also one of the best places to find accessories: bags, scarves, hats, and jewelry. Plus, Target features international designers that showcase great one-of-a-kind dresses that are only available for a limited time, so you know you'll be one of the few people wearing the designs.

2. Forever 21

I found the perfect little white T-shirt at Forever 21, as well as knit waistcoat jacket. One basic that every girl should have is this fitted, cap-sleeve white-t. Jennifer Aniston has the right idea. She has made wearing basics a science. You can pair this shirt under blazers or alone with cut off shorts, a pair of worn, faded and ripped jeans, or under a waist coat. The beauty of a knit waistcoat jacket, also known as a button-down vest is that the knit fabric hugs the body's contours. Instead of it feeling like a suit (because typical vests are made of polyester suit fabric), it feels like a knit sweater. I also found my beloved 100% leather motorcycle jacket for 70 dollars at Forever 21. Forever 21 offers great trendy dresses for a night on the town and and array of flowy blouse tops. I would go for a knockout red or black cocktail dress to add to your basics. These two colors are perfect for office parties and holiday parties. Forever 21 also has a great selection of knit berets which I think are every girl's best friend, especially for bad hair days. A slouchy knit beret in my book is a basic accessory because it looks good on every woman and can be worn any season. There are thicker berets for winter and lightweight crocheted berets for spring/summer.
