Creative ways to use clothespins # 1: Easier vacuuming
How many times did this happen to you? You were busy vacuuming when all of a sudden your vacuum cleaner dies. While you were vacuuming, you accidently pulled the plug and sent to cord retracting back into vacuum cleaner. Prevent this from happening again next time you vacuum by clamping a clothespin to the cord at the length you want.
Creative ways to use clothespins # 2: Make an instant bib
If you don't have any clean bibs in the house for your child at mealtime, you can easily make your own bibs. Just use clothespins to attach a dish towel to your child's shirt or clothing. You can also make one for adults by using a larger towel so you can eat without fear of spills. They are great for anybody wanting to keep messes off of their clothing.
Creative ways to use clothespins # 3: Easily mark a flower bulb
When you have planted flower bulbs in your garden and the flower didn't bloom when spring came around, you can mark the spot by pushing a straight clothespin into the soil where the flower didn't bloom. So when fall approaches you have the spot located so you can plant a new bulb and avoid gaps in your garden.
Creative ways to use clothespins # 4: Help with racking the leaves
When you have the job of racking the leaves all by yourself, it's very frustrating to try and keep the garbage bag open while you dump the leaves inside. Keep the leaves from missing the bag because it won't stay open by getting some help from clothespins. Clip a clothespin to the garbage bag and clip it to the side of a fence, lawn chair, or some other convenient spot to keep the garbage back open while you fill it full of leaves.

Use a clothespin to help grip a nail when you need to hammer, especially in hard-to-reach places. Save your fingers from being smashed by the hammer by using a clothespin to hold the nail in place, your fingers will be at a safe distance in case you miss the nail. Trust me, your fingers will thank you.
Creative ways to use clothespins # 6: Keep your paintbrush afloat
To keep your paintbrush from sinking into the can of paint and making a mess, simply clamp a clothespin to the handle of the paintbrush and clamp it on the rim of the paint can. It will stay in place for when you need to use it and the paintbrush handle will stay clean and dry.
