New Dragon Ball Z Live Action Movie

For the generations of fans that love Sci-fi and anime, but have not been able to get their fix of the latter, don't worry the wait is almost over. Twentieth Century Fox studios have news that legions of fans will be happy to hear. After years of talk, rumors, script and production delays the most popular anime series of all time will finally be coming to the big screen. The live action Dragon Ball Z movie is scheduled to be released in April of 2009. If you can't wait, you can get a taste to wet your appetite in the coming attractions of the new Max Payne movie, you can see the new trailer for Dragon Ball Z.

For those new Dragon Ball Z the series follow the hero Goku a Saiyin warrior sent to earth as a child to destroy the planet, but a blow to the head derailed the ultimate Saiyin plan and Goku was taken in by a family and raised to be good and pure of heart. Endowed with his good heart Goku fights for those who can not fight for themselves. When the last of the Saiyins come to earth to finish what Goku was to do years before, Goku must fight to save his friends, family, and every one he cares for, or ultimately the world will be destroyed.

The New Dragon Ball Movie opens with a young Goku (Justin Chatwin) finding that he was sent to earth to destroy it. But because of his head injury and being raised by humans decides to fight and ensure earths safety from a host of aliens who will come to take over the universe. Goku set out on a quest to retrieve seven mystical objects, the Dragon Balls. Six are still somewhere out in the world, one Goku already possesses. The evil villain, Lord Piccolo, played by Angel and Buffy the Vampire slayer fan favorite James Marsters, is also on a quest for the Dragon Balls with the power of the Dragon balls he will possesses the power of a god and now one can stop him from taking over the world and the whole universe.

The movie should very well prove to be the biggest hit of the year, Dragon Ball fans are some of the most loyal fans to be found. With a supporting cast of very well known names the cast is sold with talent, Like Chow Yun Fat, James Marsters, Emmy Rossum, and Ernie Hudson to name only a few, guarantees this to be a great adaptation to the Sci-fi anime series.
