Marquise Hill Found in Lake Pontchatrain

According to the Boston Globe and the Associated Press New England Patriot Marquise Hill was found dead on May 28th around 2 o'clock.

Marquise Hill and an unidentified female friend had left late Sunday evening for a jet ski ride on Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans, LA. It is being reported that by the Associated Press that Mr. Hill and his friend were not wearing life jackets, which more then likely would have saved Mr. Hill's life, it is believed he eventually was drowned by high tides and waves. His friend according to the Boston Globe was found about 150 yards from the body of Marquise Hill holding onto a bridge piling.

Some background info on Marquise Hill according to the Patriot website is that he was born August 7th 1982 in New Orleans. He had been rated the best defensive lineman in the nation while still in high school. ESPN, USA Today, The Sporting News, Rivals.com, Super Prep, and Fox Sports all named Marquise Hill as First Team All American. He had also been named as National Lineman of the Year, and Columbus Touchdown Club Player of the Year. He was also a Member of the New Orleans Times-Picayune Top 16 Blue Chip list, and also had been proclaimed Baton Rouge Advocate Super Dozen and Shreveport Times Top 20 for the state of Louisiana. Marquise Hill in his high school football career had 92 tackles with eight sacks and seven quarterback hurries just in his senior year.

Also according to thePatriots site Marquise Hill was drafted to the NFL by The New England Patriots in 2004 in the 2nd round.

You may recall that Marquise Hill is the cousin to another football player by the name of Cornelius Bennett who in his career played 13 seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, and the Indianapolis Colts and was a 5 time Pro Bowler.
