New England Patriots May Release Torry Holt Due to Knee Surgery

It is to a certain extent a shame that the great wide receiver Torry Holt may never suit up as a New England Patriot in 2010 due to the injury he sustained to his knee before the beginning of the preseason.

Torry Holt would have been an incredible asset to the New England Patriots offensive wide receiver corp., and he indeed would have given the Patriots an edge in their heated division. Unfortunately it seems as though Holt may be released under the New England Patriots injury settlement contract clause, but there are other teams that are interested in Holt's services for the 2010 season.

Torry Holt played 10 years with the St. Louis Rams, and during this time he amassed 13,382 yards and 74 touchdowns, and even though his numbers declined somewhat during the last two years before he ended his career with the Rams, Holt has been a respected player in the NFL for many years, and he will be missed if he does not play in the 2010 NFL season.

Unfortunately for Holt the New England Patriots organization does not have an abundance of patience concerning how long will it take for him to fully recover from his knee surgery.

It seems as though that Holt will be released from the Patriots 2010 lineup, which will leave room for Holt to possibly join another team in the later part of the 2010 season.
