The New England Patriots travel up to Buffalo to take on a tough Buffalo Bills team on December 26th. The Buffalo Bills record straight up is disappointing but gamblers know they have played well against the spread this season and have been a good play in several spots.

The New England Patriots are also a solid play against the spread this season which could make this a tough game to call. On the heels of their loss against the spread to the Green Bay Packers, the New England Patriots looked human. The Buffalo Bills are coming off a road win over the Miami Dolphins and now they face the evil empire on the home turf.

New England Patriots Defense Vs Buffalo Bills Offense

Pass defense is the New England Patriots defensive weakness but over the last few games they have been stopping everyone in their path. The young secondary of the New England Patriots is very opportunistic and when they are at their best they have taken over games. They rank second in the NFL in interceptions and have returned three for touchdowns.

The Buffalo Bills offense has had their moments with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick but they have struggled as a unit over the course of the NFL season. They are averaging 198 yards per game through the air this season but over the last few games their receivers have struggled.

The running game of the Buffalo Bills has averaged 114 yards per game. They have struggled to integrate CJ Spiller in their offense this season and the teams number one NFL Draft pick has only rushed for 232 yards this season. Fred Jackson has taken up the slack of the running game and is averaging 4.3 yards per carry. The New England Patriots defense has the edge over the Buffalo Bills offense.

Buffalo Bills Defense vs New England Patriots Offense

One reason the Buffalo Bills have been in so many games is their defense. Although they rank towards the bottom in interceptions and sacks, the Buffalo Bills secondary is holding their own against some of the best receivers in the NFL. They are holding their opponents to 197 yards per game through the air but against the run the Buffalo Bills are at their worst. They are giving up 165 yards per game, the most in the NFL.

The New England Patriots high powered offense is back on track and so is Tom Brady. Brady is using every receiver at his disposal and has made Deion Branch a Pro Bowl receiver once again. The New England Patriots offense began clicking on all cylinders once Randy Moss left the team and now the offense is unstoppable. The New England Patriots offense has the edge over the Buffalo Bills defense.
