Tom Piche, product manager of Epson's Consumer Ink Jet Printers division said that their new line of affordable, high-performing and versatile all-in-one printers are a smart choice for businesses and families who want to make high-quality, durable documents. Piche adds, ""Head-to-head, this lineup offers more features and better image quality than competitive models. For all your day-to-day printing needs, whether text or photo, these are the products you want."
Amongst the technologies included in Epson's new line of printers are: Epson's Advanced DX3 MicroPiezo print head technology that features smart nozzles; DURABrite Ultra ink which can produce instantly dried documents and smudge and water-resistant prints; Individual ink cartridges that can let consumers replace only the color needed to be replaced; Auto Photo Correction with advanced face detection that is built into the printer so that it can automatically correct the lighting in poorly exposed images; High-speed card slots that enables consumers to print directly from their memory cards without the need for a PC; PictBridge Technology that can print images directly from the camera; BorderFree photo printing; and has the Epson Photo Fix software that Epson claims can restore old faded photos to their original brilliance.
According to Epson, the Epson CX7400 can print both black and color text at a speed of 28 ppm/cpm and can print 4 x 6 borderless photos in 27 seconds while the Epson CX8400 can print both black and color text at a speed of 32 ppm and can produce copies at speeds of 30 cpm. The CX8400 also has a 2.5 inch LCD for easy document and photo viewing, printing, and copying, sans the PC.
Aside from printing, copying, and scanning documents and photos, the Epson CX9400Fax also has the ability to fax colored documents and photos. The CX9400 has faxing speeds of 33.6 Kbps and includes a 60 number speed dial, up to 100 pages of memory, automatic redial, auto answer, and caller ID features. All three printers can connect via USB 2.0.
Epson is now shipping the CX7400 and CX8400 at a price of $69.99 and $99.99, respectively while the Epson CX9400Fax will ship out in October for an estimated price of $149.99.

Post a CommentGreat Review , Ive recently purchased a CX8400 , and it is an execellent all-in-one , compared to the previous canon ip1500 , Canon mp160 and Hp photosmart C3180 which all brke in less then a year . With the CX 8400s 2.5icnh onboard screen , its makes printing / editing photos , to changing the 4 tanks , to cleaning the printer very easy even when the computer isnt even on !
