New Evidence Could Free Texas Death Row Inmate Gregory Wright

DNA and Polygraph Tests Show Greg's Innocence

Dee
Significant new evidence in the case of death row inmate Gregory Wright have been announced, and has proved his innocence. Greg was convicted of the murder of Donna Vick, despite the written confession of his codefendant John Wade Adams, who was also charged with the murder of Vick and is also on death row. Greg has been on death row since 1997 and has maintained his innocence throughout.

The Texas Department Of Criminal Justice web site states that on 03/21/1997, in DeSoto, Gregory Wright stabbed Donna Vick with a knife, and stole several items from her home.

A pair of Umen jeans that was found and used as evidence against Wright, had the dried blood of Vick's on them. The size fit Adams, and not Greg Wright. Wright's attorney used this information as his closing argument. The jeans with the dried blood, Miss Vick's blood fit Mr. Adams, and were too small for Wright, who is a much larger man. The new DNA testing has proved that Wright's DNA is "inconsistant with the biological material found on the pair of jeans", showing once again that the jeans used to convict Wright, did indeed belong to, and was worn by Adam's.

Greg has also passed a polygraph test that shows there is a high probability that he has been telling the truth in his claims of innocence. On June 18, the Supreme Court of The United States denied the Writ of Certiorari presented by Greg's attorneys without an explanation. With new promising evidence of innocence however, Greg's attorneys are planning on seeking immediate legal action.

Will the State of Texas admit that they have sentenced an innocent man to die, and free Greg Wright? This would bring justice to this case once and for all.

Dudley Sharp of JUSTICE FOR ALL had done an exhaustive profound research of executions in the United States since 1900. He had examined all of the circumstances including the laws in place at the time WITHOUT applying a moral code. He had limited himself to the facts. For example, prior to the civil rights movement, it had been a Capital Offence in most Southern States for an African American to have sexual intercourse with a "white women" regardless of consent because under "racial purity laws", a white woman can never be considered to have granted consent - thus deemed the Capital Offence of Rape. Moreover, the "murder felony rule" as well as the "Law of Parties" makes it absolutely irrelevant as to whether the condemned had actually committed the murder or had ordered the murder to be carried out. Obviously, under these circumstances, NO INNOCENT HAS EVER BEEN EXECUTED IN THE UNITED STATES thereby rendering the U.S. Justice System as virtually infallible. CONCLUSION: Wright mus

It is my understanding that Texas is one of the few states which has a specific body called the Criminal Court of Appeals presided by her most righteous ladyship, the most honourable Sharon Keller. Albeit her amazing popularity with widespread admiration from many Texans as a tough on crime by fair judge, SHE HAD DENIED THE APPEAL OF CRINER vs TEXAS despite irrefutable proof that the DNA in the rape victim did not belong to Criner. Indeed she had even accepted the notion that the rape victim had been promiscuous and that Criner had raped the victim immediately after while wearing a condom and latex gloves. Thus Gregory Wright has to prove his innocence beyond all doubt what so ever. As Judge Keller once stated in the Criner case, "At best, he established that he might be innocent. We can't give new trials to everyone who establishes, after conviction, that they might be innocent." Unfortunately for him, his lawyers will have to do a Hell of a lot better than DNA evidence to convin

Dee - thanks for your support of Connie and Greg. This is so helpful, and I know from the volume of visitors to Greg's website from this article that your effort is making a real difference.

Greg's wife Connie has told me that his attorneys ok'ed this statement to be announced:
Gregory Edward Wright was excluded as a contributor to the DNA on the knife used in the crime for which he has been accused. Additionally it has been found that Greg's DNA is inconsistent with the biological material found on the pair of jeans, claimed at the trial by the prosecution to have been worn by him.
