New and Exciting Changes Made to Associated Content!

Daniel Rein

This morning on Sunday December 3, I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up and checked Associated Content to find the new changes that were made. It is great to see a website that cares about its viewers and content producers. Let me tell you about the changes I have found in the website and one small detail that Associated Content left out which I feel is important.

The new and most striking change to the website is the layout. While the front homepage is called Associated Content, the content page with a content producer's articles says "Beta" Associated Content. I do like the new design layout and I love the alternating color coordinating. As you see, a new category of status has been created called "Processing" which means that the article is currently being looked at by a content manager. The word "Submission" next to your article means that it was very recently submitted to the content managers and won't get a bid until at least a few days have passed. Another change that was made was that the pages were consolidated. Before the changes were made there was a separate page entirely that the amount that each was paid by Associated Content and the date it was published. That information now appears on the same page as your articles that are being submitted and have been published.

First let me get to some of the small changes that I believe need to be fixed or added in. One of the things that I like about the two pages that were under the old changes under the page in your content, was at the bottom of the page it stated how much your account total money was from Associated Content. This allowed content producers to keep track of their earnings. It also allowed me to easy decipher which money in my Pay Pal account came from Associated Content. The only other change that was made was that AC took away which content manager the article was being sent to. Many content producers like certain content managers and feel that some content managers give higher bids than other or better comments than others.

The final thing that I noticed and liked very much was that the created date and published date for the article were put next to the article on the Content page. This allowed me to see how good Associated Content has become at speeding up the process of getting paid for writing articles for them. I noticed that articles that were the oldest took upwards of 7 to 8 days. Now as I look at my articles being published, they are being paid 1,2, or 3 days after submission which I think is great for all content producers. It also means that Associated Content is hiring more staff members to look at the huge amounts of articles that it gets submitted to them daily.

The layout of the Published Page is also different. While I don't necessarily think it is any better or worse, it looks better as a design. I also like the change in the published section which allows you to move back and forward as you choose to change options such as exclusive or non-exclusive and your article headlines and content in the article. The best change I think is that when you finally submit the article after you have included all of your information, it shows you what your article looks like as a final product which is a great feature. Finally, there is an option to "clean" your article when pasting it into the content box. This option allows you to make sure that nothing gets deleted or is missing on its transfer into the content box.
