New Found Friends

Cute and Cuddly, Everybody Needs a New Friend

Lois Lunsford
My daughter has gone off for a few days with a new girlfriend who happens to share the same Birthday. They decided to spend their Birthday together and make some memories. My daughter and her new friend work together and now they will share the best day possible. I have only known one person in my life that shares my Birthday and that is my Twin. Twins for life, and now my daughter who is an only child will share her birthday with two of her friends. The other friend she has known since elementary school and who she went into the U.S. Army with back in 2005. Although they are still very close my daughter and her school buddy don't get to do a lot with each other due to conflicting schedules. I was happy to learn of her new friend that she met at her new job and who now shares her Birthday. My daughter is fun and loves new friends.

Babysitting

While the new friends are off having a fun Birthday week-end I am babysitting. Yes, I am stuck at home, but home is where I long to be. I love to sit and work at my computer. Anyway back to the babysitting. My daughter's new friend has a cute little doggie. I have 3 doggies that are mostly outside and very unsociable. I like it that they are outside, they serve and protect and SLEEP. The cute little doggie that I'm caring for is none of those things. Things of which I am not used to hence the story.

This cute little doggie is all of 3 lbs. white, and finally, as we speak, ASLEEP in my lap. He, 'Maverick', loves to be in your lap, in your face and on your heels. Snoopy and very active. I go outside, he goes outside, I go to the restroom, and he goes to the restroom, and on and on. Yesterday I was worried because he wouldn't eat, but today he is eating. I think he likes me, but he probably likes anybody who has a lap. He came with a cute blanket, but he does not lay on it. He is very cuddly and I think I like him too. I think I will miss him when he goes back home to Folsom, CA. I hope he can adjust without me. Here's to new friends.
