New Fox Game Show "Don't Forget the Lyrics" Accepting Try-Outs in Miami and New York
New Fox Game Show Tests Memory and Recall of Song Lyrics
The new Fox game show will be premiering Wednesday, July 11 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursday, July 12 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT). The host of "Don't Forget The Lyrics" will be Wayne Brady. Wayne Brady has been on other popular shows in the past such as "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and, of course, "The Wayne Brady Show."
Fox Network has hired a casting company called One Source Talent to conduct try-outs for this new game show. One Source Talent is well known for handling the casting calls for the blockbuster reality show, "Fear Factor" on NBC. Fox Network is hoping that "Don't Forget the Lyrics" will be as successful, or more so, than "Fear Factor."
So how does this new game show work? To begin with, the successful contestant will need to have a large working knowledge of a variety of song lyrics. Any type of song is fair game and can vary from current hits to songs from the 60's and 70's. Knowing the song lyrics is obviously the main object of the game, but there is a little twist. Contestants will have to sing the song lyrics. The most interesting part of this whole concept is that the songs do not have to be sung well. Winning is only based on one's memory of the lyrics and getting them correct. Even the songs have to be sung; the contestant's singing talent is not a factor.
If you are interested in trying out for "Don't Forget the Lyrics" and are 18 years of age or over, you may go to the open call July 7, 2007 at Porky's NYC (10:30a - 3p), New York, or Lucky Strike (12n-6p) in Miami Beach. There will then be interviews for those who made it through the open call the day before on July 8, 2007 at the offices of One Source Talent in New York or Miami this Sunday, July 8, 2007. For more information, visit One Source Talent's website at http://www.onesourcetalent.com/castings/fox-dont-forget-the-lyrics.
So if you think you have what it takes and are known for your steel trap-type memory when it comes to song lyrics, be sure to get involved in this great new game show, "Don't Forget the Lyrics."

Wise men say - only fools rush in,
But i can't help falling in love with you. (repeat)
Shall i stay - would it be a sin,
If i can't help falling in love with you.
As a river flows
Gently to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand - take my whole life too,
For i can't help falling in love with you.
