New FrontierVille Cheats and Tips

A lot has changed since FrontierVille first launched on Facebook this past June. Developers have been working hard to fix bugs, ease game play, and they learned how to thwart hackers. Four months later, FrontierVille is still one frustrating, memory hog of a game, but if you're one of the 5 million daily users who can't tear themselves away from FrontierVille, here are some cheats and tips to help your game play.

1. Save time by keeping the snake and bear alive.

Not killing the bear or snake after clearing trees and grass won't negatively affect your game play. It's best to grow some trees and cultivate grass in an un-played-corner or side of your screen. Chop down trees and clear grass until they each appear. Once they materialize, and the trees turn red, you're free to cut down trees without interruption every 3 chops. Same with grass clearing. They won't eat your animals, so don't worry. You can still clear grass and trees while they are red by hiring a neighbor to clear the area.

2. Don't clear your cacti or thorns until you have a FrontierVille baby.

In a sneaky attempt to get more real money out of you, Zynga developers cleverly coded the cacti and thorns to re-emerge at a slow rate, okay never. (Or at least not that I've seen, and I've waited weeks.) Oh so ironically, you can buy as many as you want in the marketplace for eight horseshoes each. As you know, horseshoes cost you real money to purchase. Even then, you need more than one of each to complete the goal. It's best to keep thorns and cactus plants until you reach this stage.

3. Find a goal that's impossible to pass? Don't sweat it. The admins will give it to you eventually.

These days, FrontierVille collectibles are harder and harder to come by. They were a dime a dozen when Frontierville first launched (the rewards were bigger too), but now I hardly see rare collectibles anymore, let alone medium-rare ones. I've played FrontierVille since the beginning and learned that the Zynga crew keeps tabs of which goals are being completed, and which aren't. When they see a lasting imbalance, you and everyone else will be rewarded for that unattainable goal the next time you log into FrontierVille.

4. If FrontierVille too much of a memory hog, don't keep animals unless you have to.

This one is simple. The less movement on the screen, the less memory is burgled. If you're trying to complete a goal that needs farm animals, keep your crops and animals on far ends of your screen. This way you can move your screen around to eliminate the animals and excess memory usage.

5. Get to know your collections
Want to level up faster? Complete the wildflower collection or pear tree collection to get 50 experience points. Need more food? Complete the potato collection for 60 food. Also remember that selling off adult animals will provide you with extra food and coins.
