New Frye Boots and Shoes: March 2011

New Women's Styles from Frye Coming into Spring, 2011

For women and men alike, classic original styles of boots from Frye may remain the top picks from the collection (it's amazing how long these boots have remained popular) - but one should also be aware that new Frye boots and shoes generally include timeless looks that not only are fashionable today, but will likely remain so for a long time to come.

Specifically for women, here are some new styles to check out from the Frye collection that are available as of March 2011:

Frye Carson Lace Up - I can almost not say enough about this new boot style! While it has a definite place in the Carson collection (with its familiar smooth western look), this style is a bootie or ankle cut, with a lace-up front. Whether wearing jeans or a skirt, this boot would not only fit right in, it would add some personality to any look. Retail price for the Carson Lace-Up boot is $248.00.

Frye Julia Grommet Lace - While this boot also has a sort of timeless look about it, it also could be stated with accuracy that it is one of the most unique and versatile boots in the entire Frye collection. It has two general ways it can be worn - up or down. When up it has a sleek and smoother look, but when folded down and laced at the tongue it is - well, it is adorable (at least in my opinion). In the past I have been fairly accurate about which footwear from Frye will remain due to high demand - I think that the Frye Julia Grommet Lace-Up boot will be one of the "keepers." Retail price for this shoe is $278.00 for a leather/canvas version, $298.00 for the full leather boot.

Frye Emma Woven Flat - This is what I would call "the perfect springtime shoe." It is crafted from interwoven lace for the upper and could easily be worn with either jeans or skirts - and would add to the look either way. One of the wonderful things about this new shoe from Frye is the variety of colors it is available in - nine in all - so whether you would prefer a more colorful shoe or a slipper with a more earthy tone (or both), you can probably find exactly what you want. Retail price for the Frye Emma Woven ballet flat is $178.00.

Frye Tamara Woven Slide Shoe - What I notice first about this shoe is its height - with a 5 inch heel, it is a style that women will either adore - or will perhaps make them run the other direction! However, it also has a 1 ½ inch platform, which brings the actual lift on the foot 3 ½ inches. All measurements aside, this is a gorgeous shoe that has both qualities of being trendy and earthy - it has a leather upper with an open-toe design and leather lacing throughout. And - Frye is well known for making footwear comfortable, even those styles with a higher heel. Retail price for the Tamara Woven Slide is $228.00.

Frye Maggie Perf Wingtip Shoe - "Spiff" is a word that comes to mind about this new shoe from Frye. It has a basic wingtip style but with a bit of a heel to give it a lift and perforated detailing to spice it up. This is another "go with everything" design from Frye that could easily be considered a staple of a wardrobe. Retail price for the Maggie Perf Wingtip is $188.00.

So far, so good - the new Frye boots and shoes available to women in 2011 as of the beginning of March are a promising lineup, and I look forward to seeing what is to come!
