7. Coming this summer 3-DTV. From Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, and other major manufactures. Newly redesigned LED TV's with 3-D technology built in are gearing up for the new market of 3-D channels coming from places like DirectTV. But coming 3-D tech doesn't stop there, Hollywood takes note and over 20 movies are set to hit theaters in 2010 riding the 3-D buzz, and beloved classic films like Star Wars and Titanic could be converted into 3-D if interest keeps rising on the heels of Avatar. Peter Jackson, director of Lord of the Rings is close to convincing the powers that be to convert the Ring Trilogy into 3-D. Converting 2-D films into 3-D is a snap and begs the question should all films be made that way in the near future? 3-DTV is on the horizon and it's future looks bright.
