New Gadgets for 2010

Here is a list of interesting tech coming your way to make life more easier. For the home and on the go, these gadgets will take you there.

1. Nike Plus Sport Band. Is perfect for tracking your workout, the lightweight bracelet has a built-in USB stick with digital display that can be downloaded into your computer and observe your exercising progress, running, walking, pace, and calories burned. Very simple and cool gadget. ($60)

2. Skiff E-Reader. A new slim e-reader is hitting the market to challenge Apple tablet ($600-$800), Nook ($260), and the Amazon Kindle DX ($500). The Skiff has a mere .268 inches thickness and a cool 11.5 inch screen with a 1,600 x 1,200 resolution. Made of a rugged Metal-Foil e-Paper display housed in Magnesium case allowing the device's internal screen to be flexible, making it crack-proof and shatter resistant. 4GB of memory, SD card slot, USB port, navigation from touch screen or job wheel, built-in speaker, 3.5mm audio jack, apps for video and more content from the Skiff app store. 3. Samsung 9000 ultra-slim LED LCD TV series for 2010 is stunningly slim as a No. 2 pencil (0.3 inches), it's 1080p, 240Hz, local-dimming LED, WiFi-ready, built-in 3D processor, and color touch screen remote lets you watch TV in the palm of your hands even if something else is playing on the screen, complete with Netflix streaming capabilities. Want to use less power? Samsung's 1.2 inch ultra slim edge-lit LED backlit HDTV is reported to use 40 percent less energy than conventional LCD TV's.

4. Shure SRH 750DJ headphones deliver the goods on clarity and comfort. The headphone is design for the hard working DJ and average user into synchronizing track mixes, segues, and edits. No listed price as yet as Infinitec officially makes this product available after March 10th 2010 unveiling.

7. Coming this summer 3-DTV. From Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, and other major manufactures. Newly redesigned LED TV's with 3-D technology built in are gearing up for the new market of 3-D channels coming from places like DirectTV. But coming 3-D tech doesn't stop there, Hollywood takes note and over 20 movies are set to hit theaters in 2010 riding the 3-D buzz, and beloved classic films like Star Wars and Titanic could be converted into 3-D if interest keeps rising on the heels of Avatar. Peter Jackson, director of Lord of the Rings is close to convincing the powers that be to convert the Ring Trilogy into 3-D. Converting 2-D films into 3-D is a snap and begs the question should all films be made that way in the near future? 3-DTV is on the horizon and it's future looks bright.
