The new iPhone release date was announced today at the 2009 Apple Conference (WWDC), and it gives people a reason to be excited about a new iPhone. Not only did they announce the new iPhone release date, but that there will be a brand new iPhone 3.0 Operating System to go along with it. The iPhone 3.0 Operating System will also work with iPhone's already out on the market, but the biggest nugget of the day at Apple Conference 2009 was the exact iPhone release date for the newest member of the family.

The new iPhone release date is scheduled to be on Friday, June 19th, and is actually coming a bit sooner than industry experts had guessed. It could have something to do with the recent revelation of the new Palm Pre, and as Palm Pre sales start to climb, Apple probably decided that it would be best to move up the new iPhone release date. Now iPhone sales and Palm Pre sales can be closely monitored as the summer progresses, and as the two companies go completely head-to-head in a market that is quickly offering numerous affordable options to a consumer set that may have just been waiting for the smoke to clear in the industry.

The new Apple iPhone is going to be called the iPhone 3G S, and is planning to offer users something newer than previous iPhone's had to offer. That goes without saying, but Apple is really trying to up-sell customers just as they come out of that first two-year contract on the iPhone, and with the new iPhone release date will surely become a growing excitement just to have the newest technology on the block. According to the advertisement being shown at the 2009 Apple Conference, they will be selling the new iPhone 3G S in over 80 countries by August, so they are really going to be pushing the sales on this latest iPhone.

This is good news all around for fans of Apple products, because when the new iPhone release date hits, the prices on prior models are going to drop. This includes the old 3G model, which is expected to fall to around $99 for the 8GB version, and make it even more affordable for everyone in the market-place. So why will people want to upgrade to the newer version of the iPhone? Well for starters, the battery life is going to be better, it should have plenty of new features to play around with, and it will hold more on the (planned) affordable 16GB version for only $199. All of the excitement for the new iPhone release date should generate a lot of sales, and this could be the next big thing from Apple.
