New Jersey's Budget is Now in Trouble!

Chris Christie has become the Great White Hype as the Governor of New Jersey. He came into the ring as a clean cut political leader and knew the game of politics--where he was on track to bring fiscal responsibly to government in New Jersey. This governor was on face to fix New Jersey's budget problems, where he would lower the burden on property taxes this state have seen in some time.

The Governor during his gubernatorial run; campaigned on cleaning up corruption, and changing the meters on political appointed jobs! But New Jersey's Governor, has made laws that break the fabric of the constitution, and can be deemed un-lawful if they were allowed or passed. Economist have made statements about budget plans- From the 2009 tax season-which is 2008 taxes under (Jon S. Corzine's plan), yet New Jersey's property taxpayers were paying a little over $6000 in (2009) on their property taxes. And now they are paying 3% more at an average of $7000 per home, under the Christie plan--which is still the highest in the nation. These scores and numbers where reported by the top economist in New Jersey-with no partisan view.

Yet, what is more shocking is Chris Christie, laid down huge budget cuts to public sector jobs, and publicly owned private companies-plus non-profits, in his route to save New Jersey from a leadership made fiscal crisis. The cuts Chris Christie made only place a heavier burden on the state's fiscal economy-since they will have to recoup with high unemployment numbers, and federal assistance will increase, as the state will now have a budget debt-instead of a budget, with a surplus. Jon S. Corzine's last budget projection was under $25 billion dollars, and with that estimate - the Democratic Governor, added more programs which expanded government; thus leaving the state in a great fiscal shape. While Chris Christie in his first budget, blew that number out of the water-and lost his base on campaign promises to cut government spending. His John Boehner budget plan-which is a President G. Bush model has increased the New Jersey Budget by 4 billion.

As a blogger and an economist, I would like to know, how you can cut spending in every phase of government by 70% and still out spend your predecessor by 4 billion dollars. When Jon S. Corzine made his final push to re-elect himself, he had to make some hard budget cuts, and manage to get the budget under control. Although, he waited too long in order on making the serious cut, and it cost him an election in the process. Yet, the guy, who campaigned on saving the state from a fiscal mess, in his first budget address, after cutting everything by 70% has come up with a 4 billion dollar expansion. I just don't get how you can save a state from over spending when you are spending more with fewer programs to pay for.
