New Kate Gosselin Book Still Heading for Publication; Will People Still Buy It?
Kate Gosselin's New Book Love is in the Mix to Be Published Still
Love Is in the Mix will be published by a Christian publishing company called Zondervan, who had a representative tell Entertainment Weekly that they still plan on going forward with the publication of the Kate Gosselin book. From the outside, it seems like the publishing company is looking for another way to bring in money, even though the Gosselins will be heading to court hearings that will decide how the Jon and Kate Gosselin divorce plays out in the end. It's possible that the published hopes that the Gosselin's marriage doesn't end in divorce, and maybe that is why they are going forward. The other reason could be the pay day.
The current release date for Kate Gosselin's Love Is in the Mix is scheduled for October 13th, which puts it a few months away still, and could have a lot of different events happen in the lives of the Gosselin's before the book even makes it to the first run at the presses. Zondervan, the publisher for the book, did release a statement addressing the problems of Jon and Kate Gosselin. Part of their statement was as follows: "We are saddened by this news from the Gosselins and will continue to lift both Jon and Kate and their children up in prayer. We respect their need for time to focus on their family during this difficult time, and we will work with Kate to reassess the schedule for her next book with Zondervan."
This is the same publisher that put out Kate Gosselin's book Multiple Blessings and Eight Little Faces, so they know how to advertise for Kate Gosselin and her books, and that could be why they think it could still be a success in book stores. It seems like this could be a book that would fail to generate sales as more people get frustrated with the way that Jon and Kate Gosselin dominate the news, and with the eminent divorce of the couple, it would seem that the "stock value" for Gosselin merchandise would be depleted. Will people still buy a Kate Gosselin book if the family divorces?

Post a CommentI think people will buy it. Maybe even more so now.
good article I think people will still buy it because of all the controversy
Good article. :) I am just so over them though, and I won't spend a penny for anything they are promoting.
I think this is supposed to be a cookbook. I'm sure it will do well in spite of, or maybe because of, the divorce.
It'll sell, if just for people to take pot-shots at, Ryan.
Great article, sorry for them.
Oh boy. I pity that family, at least the children. I think the publicity is what ruined the relationship.
