New Kids on the Block Concert Cruise

Tickets Go on Sale January 14 for the Mid-May NKOTB Event

New Kids on the Block, the original boy band popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s, have announced plans for a concert cruise. The New Kids on the Block concert cruise is scheduled to take place May 15-18 and will travel from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, to the Bahamas. All five original members (Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and Jonathan and Jordan Knight) will be participating in the New Kids on the Block concert cruise.

NKOTB 2008 Reunion

New Kids on the Block broke up in 1994 after the failed album 'Face the Music' was released. Multiple attempts were made to reunite the NKOTB boys between the years of 1995 and 2007. In 2008, New Kids on the Block released their first album in over a decade entitled 'The Block'.

The band's reunion tour, New Kids on the Block: Live, began in Toronto in September 2008. NKOTB toured the United States with musical artist Natasha Bedingfield. There were more concerts on the NKOTB tour scheduled for Canada, the UK and Germany.

NKOTB Band Members - Where did they go?

After the breakup of NKOTB, Donnie Wahlberg pursued a career in acting and appeared in the movies Ransom, The Sixth Sense, the Saw film series, and the mini-series Band of Brothers.

Jordan Knight, Danny Wood, and Joey McIntyre all tried their hand at a solo artist career. McIntyre also pursued acting and was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in 2006.

Jonathan Knight left show business altogether and pursued a career in real estate.

Still New Kids on the Block or Old Farts who need to give it up?

I will admit I had a huge crush on NKOTB's Donnie Wahlberg when I was 12 years old. I owned all the New Kids on the Block paraphernalia, from the NKOTB action figures (okay, dolls) to the New Kids trading cards to the posters and VHS music videos.

I lived and breathed New Kids on the Block, even though it was really unpopular as the rest of my peers thought they were gay. It was 1990, and 'Step by Step' had just been released, and I was in love.

A lot has changed in the 19 years since I crushed on New Kids on the Block. However, their 2008 album debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard Top Pop Albums Chart. Apparently, New Kids on the Block still have a fan base.

I guess if the Rolling Stones can still be touring at 60 (or more?) this is a good thing! I thought Joey Mc. was pretty good on DWTS, and love Donnie as an actor along with his brother Mark, who also started as a rapper.
