New Kids on the Block Reunion Rumored; Here are Bands that Should Reunite

Marli
In recent months, rumors have been flying that New Kids on the Block would be reuniting for a reunion tour, but logic tends to point to the contrary. However, just because New Kids on the Block won't be going on tour anytime soon, doesn't mean other bands can't reunite and go on tour. There have been many other bands that have gotten back together, and all this reunion talk got me thinking about some bands that I would love to see back together!

The Beatles

Okay, so I know that half of them are dead, but I love The Beatles! There just isn't enough Beatles music in the world for me to listen to. Can't Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney reunite and make some awesome music? I suppose they would do the whole White Stripes thing, one can play the drums and one can sing. Perfect! I don't really care how they make the music as long as I get to listen to it. But alas, I guess the closest thing I'm going to get to a Beatles reunion is the movie, Across the Universe.

ABBA

This band made me into a dancing queen! Although, I have to admit, I didn't start listening to their music until after they broke up (mainly because I wasn't even born yet). But once I started listening to it, I couldn't get enough. I went to see Mama Mia in London and I, as well as all of my friends, own the cd. If this band could reunite, I think every concert would feel like Christmas!

Simon and Garfunkel

This duet goes has gone through so many reunions, I wish they would just stay united! They music is wonderful with beautiful melodies and uplifting lyrics. They reunited back in 2004 to create a few songs like The Only Living Boy in New York and At the Zoo, which were nice, but I need a new 2008 reunion.

The Beatles, ABBA, and Simon and Garfunkel are just a few bands that would make a killer comeback. And while rumors about band reunions will never cease, at least we can all daydream about our absolute favorite bands picking up their instruments, getting back together, and making some wonderful music. However, if these bands don't make the comebacks that they're due for, hopefully the bands of America will gain some originality and start putting some good music on the radio.

YES! I love that you included ABBA! (You're welcome for letting you borrow the CD!) P.S. How about Boyz II Men?

I saw the Simon and Garfunkel tour this past year ago. It was wonderful. Hope I live to see another one.

This would be interesting to see, however I would hope they change there name to maybe "New Men on the Block".
