Rage Against the Machine: (RATM)
Perhaps no group in the early and mid 90's made more politically influential music than the band Rage Against the Machine. With lyrics railing against indignities, racism, class-ism, and the American government in general, they were a musical force to be reckoned with. But a funny thing happened, when the new Republican Administration took office, they broke up and disappeared, with Zach De La Rocha (the lead singer) heading off to Europe, and the rest of the band forming with Chris Cornell to create Audioslave. With the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan still raging, it is somewhat of a surprise that RATM hasn't reformed at a time when some say they're most needed.
Soundgarden:
Speaking of Chris Cornell, we could definitely kill two birds with one stone if Audioslave broke up and Chris Cornell went back to playing quality music, also known as Soundgarden. With his searing vocals along with wailing guitars, this band rose to the top in the 90's. People would still appreciate the rawness of their music (even as produced as it was), and they wouldn't be the same new rock sounding band that Audioslave currently is. All I can say is that the stars would be perfectly aligned if RATM and Soundgarden reunited by the breakup of Audioslave.
Guns n' Roses: (For real this time):
Axl, stop being a jerk, get into voice rehab, and work your magic like you used to. If you did do you have any idea how much a real, full blown, Axl and Slash and Izzy and the guys reunion tour would make you? You would sell out arena after arena after arena. I, much like a large percentage of the population, would pay muchos money to hear "welcome to the Jungle", "Mr. Brownstone", "Patience" and "you could be mine" all belted out like they should be! You know it, I know it, make up, let bygones be bygones and go out there and rip it up!
There you have it. Three bands that I, and I'm guessing big segment s of the population, would love to go see. So hopefully you guys (Axl, Zach, Chris, Tom , you know who you are) will read this and realize how absolutely right I am.

Post a CommentYou're very right. I would like to see Guns n' Roses back together. Mostly for the music, but partially for the chair throwing.
