"High School Musical" starlet Vanessa Hudgens has to endure another naked picture scandal. They're calling this Vanessa Hudgens naked picture scandal the "Vanessa Hudgens Scandal 2009" so as not to confuse it with the Vanessa Hudgens scandal of 2007, which also was of "leaked" pictures that showed the 20-year-old actress naked. Although early reports indicated that the new batch of naked pictures might not actually be Vanessa Hudgens, the New York Daily News is indicating that they are indeed pictures of the "High School Musical" star, but these photos actually predate the naked photos that caused such an uproar in 2007 and almost cost Vanessa Hudgens her starring role in "High School Musical 3."

Back in 2007, "leaked" naked pictures of Vanessa Hudgens surfaced on the internet and caused an international sensation, not all of which was a good thing for the girl who had polished a nice girl image at Disney, the makers of the "High School Musical" series. She was set to do the third installment of the "High School Musical" trilogy when the naked pictures began to cause a scandal. What were parents to think? How could this young woman (Vanessa Hudgens was 18) be considered a healthy role model for young tweens and teens? What kind of person takes their clothes off, takes pictures of themselves naked before a mirror, and gives them as gifts to their boyfriends? These and hundreds of other questions became a constant harangue for the young star.

She issued a public apology: "I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me. I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos."

Some are saying Vanessa Hudgens didn't learn her lesson from the first naked picture scandal, but a source told the Daily News that Vanessa Hudgens had indeed learned her lesson and that the naked pictures of her circulating at present were taken even before those that caused the 2007 scandal. She is 17 in those photos, asserts the source.

Which makes her underage in those photos.

Vanessa Hudgens' lawyers have demanded that websites like that of Perez Hilton remove the naked pictures. The celebrity gossip blogger obliged.

There are those that are even suggesting that the newest Vanessa Hudgens naked picture scandal was completely manufactured by the starlet herself as a way to get the ever fickle celebrity spotlight turned in her direction just before the premiere of her latest movie, "Bandslam."

So even though there is no mystery as to who is in those naked pictures, there are plenty of people that don't need a mystery to be intrigued or prurient enough to do an internet search for "Vanessa Hudgens Scandal 2009" or "Vanessa Hudgens naked" . And the fact that they are being pulled from websites is an incentive for many to beat the censoring to see what the fuss is all about.

Websites that have either had the Vanessa Hudgens "leaked" pictures or had linked to them have described them as photos of the star naked in a bathtub with private parts exposed.

The "High School Musical" star's new movie, "Bandslam," premieres Thursday, August 13.
