Sadly, the schools do not have the funds to hire a librarian and the library will stay closed for now. It's a shame since the library is equipped with brand new books, computers and resources that students at the 80 Underhill Avenue campus could be using.
The library is called "The Book Hive" due to its innovative bee hive design created by Kiki Dennis, who is also a PS 9 parent. The Book Hive received funding from the office of Borough President Marty Markowitz and the office of Councilwoman Letitia James.
