Slow and extremely brutal.

AS YOU DROWN: Heaviness Level - 8 out of 10 -- DEATH METAL/GRIND
Non-stop beats and growling. Very in-your-face. Can get a little tiresome though. Still, they are fast and easy to shake your head at in anger/happiness. Kinda catchy too.

AT REST: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10 -- CATCHY DEATH METAL
Strange high-scream voice, but it appeals to me now. Nice riffs that are both melodic and gruesome. More gothic-style dark brutal metal in my opinion. Awesome use of double-kicks. I find myself 2-stepping every now and then to their beats also.

ATVENA'S WAKE: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10 -- DEATH METAL/GRIND
Very catchy and very good at what they do. I appreciate these guys a hell of a lot. Strange sound, but refreshing and easy to enjoy. Great vocals too, even the soft chorus parts are good.

BAPTIZED IN BLOOD: Heaviness Level - 4 out of 10 -- HARDCORE
Keep in mind that the Heaviness Level is just there in regards to literally how heavy they sound. That doesn't mean that this band is not good. Yes, they will be the least heaviest band listed, but I love them! At first I thought they were gay but if you give them a chance, you'll appreciate there song-writing and awesome songs. Each song sounds heaps different, too.

BEFORE MY END: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10 -- METAL/DEATHCORE
Nice, simple and easy to thrash to. Pretty cool lead-ups to breakdowns. High screams and low growls. Nice chuggy, slow riffs that get you curling your lips downward then frowning and swaying side to side.

BERMUDA: Heaviness Level - 9 out of 10 -- DEATHCORE/METAL
Oh, yes. Yes, please. Brutal chug. Awesome pacing and breakdowns. The breakdown from 'TYRANT' is way too brutal. Aussie boys. AUSTRALIA, REPRESENT! Singer has a ghastly voice that crackles like a demon being choked of air! Great band.

BROADCAST THE NIGHTMARE: Heaviness Level - 6 out of 10 -- METAL/HARDCORE
Somewhat mainstream in sound but still good. Not really any good deep low growls but the high screams are good. Bit too clean for me personally but they have some cool breakdowns and chorus riffs.

BLOOD STANDS STILL: Heaviness Level - 8 out of 10 -- HARDCORE
Hardcore with breakdowns galore. Tough lyrics and in-your-face riffs.

THE BURNING SEASON: Heaviness Level - 6 out of 10 -- HARDCORE/METAL
There older albums are full of breakdowns and old-school hardcore/metal. These guys have awesome songs that get stuck in your head (especially the ones from their newest album). Definitely recommend this band if you're keen for some good metal with catchy songs and memorable chorus riffs. Easy songs to sing along to as well. DON'T ACT LIKE YOU DON'T DO IT!

Pretty popular now, these guys. They are brutal and will feed your desire for chugs. Do yourself a favour and listen to the end of 'This Love is Your Lie'. Yes. Yes, thank you.

THE CLOSURE: Heaviness Level - 6 out of 10 -- METALCORE
Awesome band. Melodic and well-made music. They have breakdowns but its mostly epic-sounding riffs with equally epic screams. If you like to clench your eyes and rock your head because you're taking in the smartly-crafted, catchy beats, then try these guys on for size!

Aussie boys. Great sound. Good, straight up hardcore/inspired beats.

Only heard a couple of songs from this band but from what I got off their demo, they're sick! Brutal chug blast beats with slow breakdowns and a growly voice to match.

DECEPTION OF A GHOST: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10 -- METALCORE
Great chorus riffs. Seriously gets stuck in my head. Not the best band at breakdowns or heavy stuff but they're an easy pick if you're up for some head-bopping action.

EARTH FROM ABOVE: Heaviness Level - 8 out of 10 -- DEATHCORE/DEATH METAL
Chunky beats with high and low screams. Nice breakdowns. I love the breakdown in 'The Antidote'. For some reason it always gets me teary with excitement. If you like Suicide Silence (old stuff) then check these guys out and get in the pit with a knife.

Different kind of sound. Something refreshing. Very moshy riffs with hard-hitting lyrics.

ENRAGED BY BEAUTY: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10 -- METALCORE
Somewhat generic but still good. They have a few beats that'll make you happy enough to listen to the whole album and go "Yeah, fair enough. Yeah, pretty good." I reckon the singer is bald with a constant frown. Hope so, anyways. Lots of verses with heaps of squeal riffs thrown in.

EXECUTE THE SINNER: Heaviness Level - 8 out of 10 -- DEATHCORE/METAL
Check these guys out! Cool breakdowns with praiseworthy verses. Their introduction song is brutal. Love it. This is pure pit/mosh beats. I haven't got bored of their sound yet. It's predictable but in the good way. Awesome.

THE EYES OF A TRAITOR: Heaviness Level - 6 out of 10 -- METAL/HARDCORE
Pretty popular band now and for good reason. They are amazing at what they do. Unique sound with a unique voice. Must see band! They have such epic beats that have you crying for because you've been thrashing your face through the air too much. Each song sounds different to the last and you'll know the words to everything they produce. Why? Because you'll want to know them. Epic with crazy guitar squeals and techno-inspired chords in the background. Very collaborative effort.

Straight up broot-fest. Chugs left, right and centre. If you want to hear gut-wrenching blasts with low growls, this is for you. Nice chunky guitar sounds.

FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10 -- METAL/HARDCORE
Great sound. Very smart music with inspirational lyrics. Very clean, well made songs with structured breakdowns that are perfectly executed. No wonder these guys are big. Cool chorus beats too. Only problem is I kind of got over them after a while.

Christian band. They preach quite a bit but it doesn't bother me as much as it could. Cool breakdowns with catchy beats. Epic, long songs. Similar to 'For the Fallen Dreams'.

Amazing songs. The whole album is good. No song is left behind. Memorable breakdowns! The singer sounds brilliant and the band just melds well together. You WILL be clenching your teeth.
