New Moon Review

When I decided to see the movie Twilight a couple of years ago, I didn't read the book than or even now. Reason for being that they simply don't fit my needs or interests and also because their novels are geared more towards teenagers and or females, which makes them a big disappointment in my mind. Stephanie Meyer's the author of the Twilight series and sort of like J.K Rowling but of the vampire series as opposed Rowling's magic and wizardry genre. Stephanie's a really boring and uninspiring author that has only one particular idea and stuck it out, amazingly she somehow became successful, rather shocking.

The movie Twilight was vastly overrated, it was an OK movie but I wasn't really a fan of the movie. I found it OK in how Bella (Kirsten Stewart) was able to solve Edward Cullen's character (Robert Pattinson). As far as the actual vampire sense of the movie, it was horrendous, a total mess, it just didn't appeal to me at all. I realized that the amazing director Catherine Hardwicke was only doing what she could do as far as trying to stay true to the book but I still didn't like it, but she wasn't all that bad either.

When the Twilight movie became a successful film, I found it quite shocking as to how everyone including Hollywood were trying to make it even more popular than it already is. New Moon is a lot better than the previous Twilight but still a disappointment in my eyes as far as everything else is concerned.

Since Bella and Edward Cullen's love drama, the sole purpose of the movie New Moon , it can be explained as a complete and utter mess because they take usin various directions. Edward Cullen's family member so desperately tries and wants to bite Bella on her own eighteenth birthday, the Cullen's try to find a safer place for her to reside. It's this situation that leads Bella into her misery, it also leads her into the company of the evil werewolves. It suddenly becomes so much for her after getting so accustomed to their risky lifestyle it sends her life into more drastic measures, since it will and can kill her.

This movie struggles drastically since it's not all there, its not a focused movie, but the main conflict with this movie New Moon it that it tries to do to much, which ends up hurting the film because it serves no real meaning or focal point for doing so. We never really know why Bella is having all of these weird premonitions of Edward doing the things he does in them. Is it Edward making these visions of him in her premonitions or is it simply Bella causing all of these hallucinations.

They bring back the evil vampire Victoria, the one thirsting her revenge for Bella's Blood, she wants Bella's blood in return for her lovers death. In the New Moon movie they show her and than the next moment she's gone as if she was never in the movie, it just doesn't make any sense. It made for a better movie worth watching to aid in making up for this film's inadequacies but it never happens.

The director Chris Weitz just doesn't give his cast of characters the time or day to do something memorable or spectacular. Kirsten Stewart is stuck with a completely useless character in which she just whines about Edward from start to finish throughout the movie. The relationship she shared with Taylor Lautner wasn't all that convincing on his or her part. Taylor Lautner also doesn't cut it as a werewolf, he's simply not an actor just another pretty face to get girls to watch the movie.

The movie New Moon does eventually end on a surprising climax but not one that I'm dying to figure out. If Chris Weitz had tried to stick to one particular story as opposed to bringing in all of these small subplots than this movie could have been better or been a little more interesting in my opinion. It takes away so much from this movie that could have done so much better but it doesn't and that's why I find this movie a failure. I hope you have learned a lot from this review and I'd also like to say thank you for taking the time to read this review I really do appreciate it.
