Jamoriquai - Rock Dust Light Star
Multi-dimensional British jazz funk band Jamoriquai returns this November with their 7th studio album. The band is abandoning the electronic, disco sound that gave them widespread appeal in favor of a return to earlier, more organic sounds. "The last, album...fantastic...but the whole thing became a little sterile. This time we've captured the flow of our live performances," says lead singer and producer Jay Kay.
The first single off the album is a silky smooth, funky groove called "White Knuckle Ride". You can check it out here. The complete track listing for both the regular and deluxe editions of "Rock Dust Light Star" can be found at the group's fan website here.
November 2nd
Mariah Carey - Merry Christmas II You
Sixteen years after releasing one of the most successful modern-day Christmas albums, Mariah Carey is back with another set of Christmas favorites plus a brand new track, "Oh, Santa." Some of the newest renditions of holiday classics to appear on the album include "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", "The First Noel", "Auld Lang Syne" and a festive reworking of her 1994 Christmas smash, "All I Want for Christmas is You." Check out the full track listing on Mariah's website here and preview "Oh Santa" here.
Ciara - Basic Instinct*
This release was formerly slated for release on October 5th, but has now been pushed back to November 2nd. Check out the preview of that in last month's edition here and take a look at Ciara's latest video for "Speechless" here.

Kelly Rowland - (Untitled)
The third studio album for the former Destiny's Child singer has been pushed back many times and even this release date is not set in stone, but the singer's already released three tracks ("Rose Colored Glasses", "Forever Is Just a Minute Away" and "Commander") from the as yet untitled project. Check out Kelly's website for previews and more information.
November 9th
Natasha Bedingfield - Strip Me
Grammy winning singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield will be releasing her third studio album this November. With great successes already under her belt with the wonderfully written hits "These Words", "Unwritten" and "Pocketful of Sunshine", the new album promises more of the same thoughtful, passionate music as her first two sets. With collaborations with a wide array of proven record producers, "Strip Me" is sure to be full of great, meaningful music. Check out Natasha performing "Touch", from "Strip Me", on the Ellen DeGeneres Show here.

Susan Boyle - The Gift
British singing phenom Susan Boyle will be releasing her second album, a follow-up to the hugely successful "I Dreamed a Dream." "The Gift" is being billed as a "seasonal collection of holiday songs and inspirational pop covers", including Lou Reed's "Perfect Day", Crowded Houses "Don't Dream it's Over", Leonard Cohen's "Halleluiah", and Christmas classics like "O' Holy Night", "The First Noel", and more. Check out "Perfect Day" here.
Cee Lo Green - The Lady Killer
Cee Lo Green is best known as half of the dynamic group Gnarls Barkley, but not for long. With the first single, the highly infectious "F**k You" going viral, Green hopes to score it big with "The Lady Killer", the versatile singer's third and most anticipated solo effort. You can check out the video for "F**k You" on Cee Lo's Facebook page here. (Warning: explicit lyrics.)

Post a CommentSound like some good stuff.
I'm probably most looking forward to Natasha Bedingfield's album. I like her music because it is meaningful.
I'm looking forward to the Elvis Costello. I only wish I could get the new Lucy Schwartz CD on hard disk - it seems it is only available for download and I can't download (even for money) from Israel.
Oh, good, one I'd actually buy - Reba.
Let the holiday music buying season begin!
