New Music Releases Coming This November, Part 2: Lee DeWyze's Debut, a Norah Jones Compilation, Josh Groban, Kanye West and More
November 16th
Lee DeWyze - Live It Up
American Idol Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze will finally be releasing his debut album this November. Sony Music, the singer's record label, reports that the album will be a mix of "rootsy pop, rock and folk," typical of the style DeWyze showed during his run on Idol. The first single was scheduled to make its radio debut on Ryan Seacrest's show on October 13th. The song, "Serendipity" has an adult contemporary feel to it. You can check it out here.

Josh Groban - Illuminations
Whenever Josh Groban puts out a new CD, there's always a buzz and this time is no different. On this, his first set since 2007's "Noel", Groban ventures into new territory working with the likes of superstar producer Rick Rubin. Rubin is well known for working with the likes of Metallica, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dixie Chicks, and many more. The collaboration amongst the two should make for an interesting set of new tracks.
Preview Josh's new song, "Hidden" here.
Norah Jones - ...Featuring Norah Jones (A Collection of Compilations)
In just 8 short years of turning out great music, jazz singer Norah Jones has worked with many accomplished artists. This November, the singer is putting out a compilation album of some of her favorite collaborations from her career, including duets with Dolly Parton, Foo Fighters, Outkast, Q-Tip, and many more. Check out the full track listing at NME.com.
Kid Rock - Born Free
Southern rock-rapper Kid Rock returns with his eighth studio album, also produced by Rick Rubin. Check out the video for the title cut here.
Annie Lenox - A Christmas Cornucopia
Indomitable songstress Annie Lenox makes her first attempt at a holiday album, with personal interpretations of eleven traditional holiday songs, as well as a new original tune called "Universal Child." Check it out here.
Loreena McKennitt - The Wind that Shakes the Barley
Pink - Greatest Hits...So Far
One of my favorite artists is putting out a much awaited greatest hits set, featuring some of her best. For the full track listing, click here and you can listen to the first of her two new songs off of the album, "Raise Your Glass" here.
Rascall Flatts - Nothing Like This
Rihanna - Loud
Pop superstar Rihanna follows up her successful "Rated R" with an all new set of dance-friendly tracks that will be sure to be heard on radios and dance clubs all over the place. Take a listen to the first single off of "Loud": "Only Girl in the World" here.
Bruce Springsteen - The Promise
Legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen celebrates the creation of his classic, fourth studio album, "Darkness on the Edge of Town," with an HBO documentary and an accompanying album featuring never before released versions of such classics as "Fire", "Because the Night", "Ain't Good Enough for You", and more.

Post a CommentThat song of DeWyze isn't bad, but seems a bit too frantic for my taste. I hope there are better songs on that album.
I LOVE Norah Jones!
Thanks, John. I don't think I liked Lee DeWyze enough to buy his new album.
norah jones is great
Interesting. None of them my favorites, but if I had to choose one to listen to it would probably be Springstein.
I am so out of the new music releases (out of the loop!), thanks for this, John. Cheers :)
:o) Nice writeup, John.
Thanks so much for the information. I love Annie Lennox.
Great list. I guess I really must be behind times. I thought Bruce Springsteen had retired. I saw him on a specila program last night. Do you remember his mega hit, 'Dancing in The Dark?'
Wonderful article filled with much to ponder.
