Robyn - Body Talk, Part 2
You may remember Robyn from the 1990's. Back in those days the Swedish pop singer hit it big with the pop-dance tunes "Show Me Love" and "Do You Know (What It Takes)." She's maintained a modicum of success elsewhere throughout the years since, but she has yet to hit it big again in the States. Robyn is hoping to change all of that with a year in which she's releasing three new albums, a series of short collections of eclectic songs entitled "Body Talk." Part 1 was released in June and spawned the worldwide hit single "Dancing on My Own." Part 3 is set to be released later this year. Watch for an upcoming look at the series on this page. In the meantime, enjoy "Dancing on My Own" here.
Kid Rock - Born Free
The outspoken southern rock/rapper returns this September with a Rick Rubin produced album featuring a slew of guest appearances, including T.I., Martina McBride, Zac Brown, Bobb Seger, Sheryl Crow and more.
September 14
David Archuleta - The Other Side of Down
American Idol Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta will be releasing his third studio album, following the singer's 2009 Christmas CD, "Christmas from the Heart."
*The date of this release is tentative.
The Charlatans - Who We Touch
British alternative rock band the Charlatans follows up their 2008 effort "You Cross My Path.
Linkin Park - A Thousand Sons
The ever popular Linkin Park returns with an all-new set produced by hot producer Rick Rubin. The new album promises to be a whole new mix of styles for the usually rap-rock band, featuring a range of new styles. Check out their first single, "The Catalyst" here.
September 21
John Legend and the Roots - Wake Up
This highly anticipated collaboration between sultry soul man John Legend and hip hop band The Roots promises to be an instant classic, with inspired reworkings of soulful and inspirational songs of the 60's and 70's. The pairing of Legend's smooth vocals and The Roots' masterful mixture of hip hop and instrumentals makes this one of the best picks of the month. Check out the smooth sounds here.
Maroon 5 - Hand All Over
None too happy about their sound on their commercially successful 2007 CD "It Won't Be Soon Before Long," Maroon 5 headed back into the studio to record an album more reminiscent of their earlier days. Lead singer Adam Levine reflects on the band's approach to the new album, "We're less interested in moving the machine, and more concerned with writing music naturally." This should be good! Check out the new track "Misery" here.
September 28
Phil Collins - Going Back
Longtime pop superstar and former Genesis drummer/singer is returning to the music scene with an all new album of his favorite Motown songs, with a couple of Dusty Springfield records and others thrown into the mix. We're told not to expect renditions like the singer's 1982 version of the Supremes' "You Can't Hurry Love," but more of an authentic feel to the originals.
Here's a listing of some other new releases coming in September:

I always enjoy your music release articles!! Thanks, my friend!
Phil Collins would be an interesting listen, although I prefer the old Genesis sound to his Motown type solo tracks. Good reviews.
