Fans of the Oprah book club, look out-she has announced the newest addition to her Book Club. Oprah Winfrey has decided that author Gabriel García Márquez book, Love in the Time of Cholera, will be the newest addition.

This book takes a look at a love story set in the 1800s, in the Caribbean, as a young telegraph operator named Florentino Ariza falls for Fermina Daza, a young student he finds gorgeous. This wonderful tale, written by García Márquez, brilliantly and fearlessly looks at the nature of love between two people. Fermina Daza has to look at the love she once had for this man she loved as a young man and question her feelings 50 years later. This book has been available for a number of years, written in 1988, but they will be kicking up the print run to make way for Oprah's request.

Gabriel García Márquez is a well-known author in southern/central America, including his hometown of Columbia. He is a Noble prize winning author, and has succeeded in movie reviews, script writing and as a journalist. Here, he takes an interesting look at love with the backdrop of wars and cholera outbreaks, and what it really means between two kindred souls.

So if you enjoy a good book, and look forward to reading what Oprah has picked out for you, Love in the Time of Cholera is just the right book for you.
