New Orleans Not in Super Bowl Without McCray Hit

Jacob Horn
I just ran across this article on Bobby McCray's hit on Brett Favre in the NFC Championship game (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Marvez-Saints-DE-fined-012910). I understand that this is old news but I just could not help but comment on it. I don't know if my head was in the clouds or what but I never heard about McCray's hit. Normally, wth something like this you would have had Vikings fans going crazy and I never heard a single peep from them. Please note that maybe there was an uproar and I just didn't hear it. With all of that being said, the article says that one of the hits took place in the 3rd quarter and resulted in a sprained ankle for Favre. In addition, Favre threw an interception on the play. The article mentions that a penalty should have called, resulting in the Vikings getting the ball back.

Now don't get me wrong, I understand that injuries are part of the game but it sounds like McCray really had it out for Favre. It also seems that had McCray not been playing dirty this could have been a much different game. I am glad, for the fans sake, to see New Orleans in the Super Bowl. I think I am just a little upset because I thought Indy-Minnesota would have been a Super Bowl for the ages and despite the fact that Favre even made me sick regarding his retirement antics, I still wanted to see him go out on top.
