New Orleans Saints Vs Atlanta Falcons: Las Vegas Line & Pick Against the Spread

New Orleans Saints Schedule Remains Tough with Atlanta Falcons Game

Todd Jacobs
NFC South foes the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons face off December 26th in Atlanta. Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints hit a bump in the road also known as Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens defense.

The New OrleansSaints were in the Ravens game most of the way and there were some spectacular catches by Lance Moore and Jimmy Graham that kept them in the game. The Atlanta Falcons made short work of the Seattle Seahawks defense in an easy victory.

New Orleans Saints Offense vs Atlanta Falcons Defense

Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints offense will not have it any easier this week when they face this Atlanta Falcons defense. John Abraham and the Atlanta Falcons defense has been solid all season although they have not been getting much publicity. The Atlanta Falcons defense holding their opponents to 107 yards per game on the ground and they are decent against the pass. They are allowing opposing quarterbacks 233 yards through the air.

The high octane New Orleans Saints offense has become much better with the reintroduction of Reggie Bush. Bush missed much of the season with a broken femur. The passing game has been helped with Bush playing in the slot and as a receiving threat out of the back field.

Another welcome return to the line up is Pierre Thomas. With running back Chris Ivory out, Thomas will be expected to give the New Orleans Saints some good burn and churn yardage in the middle of games. Look for the New Orleans Saints to set up play action early with Thomas and then to work the edges late in the first quarter of this game. The Atlanta Falcons defense and the New Orleans Saints offense are even and neither has an advantage.

New Orleans Saints Defense vs Atlanta Falcons Offense

Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons offense have been in another stratosphere among NFL offenses. Ryan and Roddy White are the number one quarterback to wide receiver combination in the NFL. The two are on the same wave length and they have hooked up for some big game winning plays this season.

The Atlanta Falcons also have a well rounded running game featuring Michael Turner and his understudy Jason Snelling. The running game for the Atlanta Falcons is averaging 124 yards per game and is a big reason for the Atlanta Falcons pulling away from their opponents late in games.

The New Orleans Saints defense is good but they are not as great as they were last season. Darren Sharper has missed games and when he is out of the line up this defense is notably less intense. Sharper is the heart and soul of this defense and if he can stay healthy through the NFL Playoffs the New Orleans Saints have a solid chance to repeat their Super Bowl run. The Atlanta Falcons offense has the edge over the New Orleans Saints defense.

New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons -2.5: Pick Against the Spread & Breakdown

The Las Vegas Hilton Superbook has made the Atlanta Falcons a two and a half point favorite over the Super Bowl defending champion New Orleans Saints. The New Orleans Saints are 2-5 against the spread on the road and they are 6-8 against the spread overall.
