NOLA Tattoo is a very clean and professional shop. Walt Clark has over twenty years of experience tattooing. If you look through his portfolio, you will see that he does amazing, detailed work.
Walt did an amazing job on my tattoo. Not only did he work with me on short notice, he exceeded my expectations of what I thought my tattoo would turn out to be. I had a simple design in mind for my tattoo. Walt patiently worked with me on a way to add some flair to it and it came out more beautifully than I anticipated.
Walt made getting my tattoo (while painful) a fun and easy process.

While I have not gotten a piercing done from NOLA Tattoo yet, the piercer, Pat Roig, is extremely professional and very friendly. You can view his portfolio on the website. He does piercing on any part of the body. I've been told that this shop will take care of you for the entire life of your piercing.
You are in the right hands if you get and body modifications at NOLA Tattoo.

Electric Ladyland Website

Electric Ladyland has been voted best tattoo shop in New Orleans by Gambit Weekly for over five years.

This shop is in a colorful local area of New Orleans known as The Marigny. This place is over 2,000 square feet and every inch of the walls and ceiling is covered with tattoo designs. However, you are welcome to bring in your own design and chances are they can do it. This shop does have a minimum of $50.00 for tattoos, but that shouldn't stop you. Remember that good tattoos cost a fair amount of money.
I have gotten a lateral industrial piercing at Electric Ladyland and it was well worth it. Adam put me at ease and got it done very quickly and neatly.
Be mindful that they do not hesitate to turn away drunken people who are prone to making bad decisions.

Freaky Tiki Tattoos
Artists: "English Craig", Ellie "Bucktown" Scott Allen
Location: 2327 Veteran's Blvd. Kenner, LA.

This is where I got my first tattoo. The atmosphere of the shop is wonderful, clean and quiet. While they have an extensive portfolio with hundreds of designs, you are welcome to bring in your own design. The artists will put you at ease and are willing to chat with you while they work on you. While I have had work done at a few shops, I always end up at this one. I recommended this place to anyone.

Eye Candy Tattoo
Artists: Randy Muller and Donn Davis
Location: Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA.
Hours: 2:00-10:00 Monday-Saturday
Phone: 504-299-8222

This shop is more of a specialty tattoo shop.
While they don't take walk in customers, the artists do plan out the design with the customer.
They specialize in custom pieces, and the prices are amazing for the quality of work.
Randy does beautiful tattoo portraits and Donn specializes in large scale Japanese style work. Both artists are friendly and go above the standards of normal tattoo art.

I have seen both wonderful and horribly done tattoos in New Orleans.
