Closing my eyes
I imagine the world
That I have conjured up
Complete romanticism
Everything that this physical world lacks
I wish my imagined world
Could somehow exist
Phantoms lurking everywhere
My thoughts juxtaposed
But never afraid
My pretensions elude even me
For if such a world existed
I would never return to this one
I imagine the world
That I have conjured up
Complete romanticism
Everything that this physical world lacks
I wish my imagined world
Could somehow exist
Phantoms lurking everywhere
My thoughts juxtaposed
But never afraid
My pretensions elude even me
For if such a world existed
I would never return to this one

Post a CommentI can relate to your feelings in this!
I hear you, well said and i agree.
I like this poem, its deep
good work
Yes, I know what you mean. We can find solace, peace, even bliss in our own imaginary worlds. Think of it as being blessed -- wouldn't it be horrible if we were not even able to imagine our beautiful worlds? Long live creativity and the imagination! (At least we live there in our heads, even if it is just for a little while. I find thinking about it makes my life better.)
me, too.
