New Promotional Video for 'Colorado Film Incentives'
Video Rallies Support for CINEMACO and Colorado Cinema Day, Feb. 8th 2012
The Colorado Film and Video Association (CFVA) is rallying support for CINEMACO, and Cinema Day on Wednesday, February 8 at the State Capitol Building. CINEMACO stands for Colorado Innovators of New Entertainment, Media, and Arts, and CO for Colorado of course.
Check out the independently produced promotional video from James Drake featuring Colorado filmmakers, local business owners and Colorado's Film Commission Director, Donald Zuckerman. You can watch the promotional video for 'Colorado Film Incentives' on milehighcinema.com.
Colorado organizations showing support for CINEMACO include, Colorado Hotel Lodging Association,
Colorado Film Society, Colorado Restaurant Association, Denver Film Society, Denver Theatrical Stage, Film and Exhibition Employees Union, Screen Actors Guild, and Teamsters Local Union No. 17. A full list of Colorado Companies who support CINEMACO and the Senate Bill is at the Colorado Film & Video Association site. The CFVA states:
"This bill will put Colorado Film, Television and Media back to work. We have the scenery, we have the infrastructure, many companies specializing in the various needs for production, and we have some of the most talented crew in the country. We are far from asking for a handout and this bill is very modest to the overall budget, but will have a dynamic effect on our industry and the jobs coming to the state. The Governor just last week said in his State of Colorado speech that their main task is to create jobs. Well, here you go, its easy."
Local filmmakers, video producers, artists, musicians, business owners and film lovers will gather on the steps of the State Capitol Building, February 8th, from 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The intent is to show State legislators and the Governor support for the bill to increase incentives, like cash and tax rebates, for film, television, media and gaming productions. Sounds like a pretty good networking opportunity too.
it will be a welcome turn out at the Capitol building as Governor Hickenlooper and Colorado Senate President, Brandon Shaffer both support the initiative. Hickenlooper recently mentioned the new incentives bill in his 'State of the State' Address and Shaffer expressed support on the radio.
