The premise of this show is 10 girls chosen from around the USA will live in a mansion and compete to the Prom Queen Title, beauty-pageant-style. The girls were picked in casting calls held nationwide in December of 2007 though January of 2008. As in most reality television shows, there will be weekly challenges and eliminations to whittle down the crowd. At then end of six episodes, American viewers will vote on and choose the winner of the contest.
In case you need to re-live the worst of your high school experiences, ABC promises that viewers will be treated to drama, emotion, rivalry and friendship. I can't wait. Meanwhile, contestants are a little old for the prom as the casting call designated they be between 18 and 20 years old. Real life Prom Queens are still in high school and are 18 years old at the most. But we're never too old for drama and immaturity are we?
I am sorry; I guess I am just having a hard time taking this new TV show seriously, even as I write about it. When I decided it would be a good time to write a series of articles on the prom, I imagined nervous and excited teenagers looking for tips to make their prom easier. I still plan to continue with this goal. Meanwhile I was distracted by this story, which promises to titillate and excite prom prone teens and all people voyeuristic with prom-related hijinks.
Maybe it will not be as bad as I imagine. Perhaps prom prone tweens will be treated with great safety and fashion tips for their own celebrations. It could happen. However, I doubt it.

Hi there!
It constantly amazes me that there isnt more emphasis on exercise for girls. We have a 10 week get in shape for prom and summer fitness challenge going and also help girls that will be going to college learn how to put a program together that they can take to school with them.
