New Republican Regime in Office for a Month

Well, after the November elections of 2010, we just knew that the Republicans were going to save the world. They talked and talked to America, saying THEY knew how to fix everything. They knew how to get the budget in line. They knew what it would take to put America back to work. Yeah Right!

With several weeks behind them now, Republicans have spent time trying to repeal the health care bill, they have put forth budget cuts totaling $38 Billion of which their proposal was $100 Billion and they have begun working on repealing Abortion. What?

They don't have a clue how to put Americans back to work and they backed way off of the budget situation. They have stated that in order for the budget cuts to add up to what they promised, you just have to do the math right. Their math!

OK! So now I have to ask, What happened Republicans? We sat in front of the TV for months watching and listening to your lies and ideas about the Government. You said you knew what to do. You said President Obama was still not a US citizen and you were going to prove it. You said, you knew how to cut the budget and get America back on track. You said you were going to work with President Obama to get the country back to work and out of the hole, George Bush dug for us. You said you knew everything! What happened?

Did reality set in? Did you find out, once you put a pencil to it, it was not as easy as you were telling everybody? Did your focus change, once you got to DC? Yeah, I am sure that it did. That is the nature of the beast. We hear all of the good stories while you WANT to be SOMEBODY, but when you actually become SOMEBODY, your brain is cleared of all previous promises.

The Republicans have focused on two things. Health Care Repeal and a half way attempt at budget cuts. They are still talking about President Obama not being a citizen and are spending valuable time trying to turn the abortion decision around. They refused to help the unemployed anymore, which left millions without any hope of paying their bills.

America is still in crisis. Millions of Americans are out of work still. Yet our elected officials are spending our tax dollars going in reverse. They are more concerned with proving they can control the White House instead of focusing on America! It is all about who keeps the upper hand in Washington. It is not about the people in America anymore. They get to Washington and then they are untouchable for the next 4 years. They wine and dine on our tax dollars. They sit in power and judgment of us, making crazy laws up as they go. Taking every dollar we make in taxes and other fees.

Will we ever get fed up in this country and see that the GOVERNMENT is not looking out for us, they are looking out for THEMSELVES. The Republicans have done just like all the previous Republicans and Democrats, lied and connived to get to Washington, only to do more harm than good, once there.

There has been no cooperation or agreement or bi-partisan behavior in Washington since the November elections. There has only been the effort to shut the President down. Republicans were not expecting the President to offer an olive branch. They were hoping for a takeover. They went in, to stand together with the Tea Party, to SHOW THIS PRESIDENT WHO IS BOSS! They thought by winning, America had given them carte Blanche to rule the country.

It has appeared though, America was not saying that. America was saying get your butt up there and get this country back on track. Get America back to work and our lives back to some sort of normal.

I think that as the next round of elections begin, America is going to be a lot more like Egypt. People are sincerely fed up with GOVERNMENT. Though we know, somebody has to be in charge and run things, we want people that stay concerned about America and not get a bad case of power fever. People who don't get to Washington and forget where they came from and how they got there.

While watching the movie, "The Shooter" with Mark Walhberg last night, I heard the guy acting as the Senator say, Americans ignorance of the way things really are in Washington is the price the people in charge pay for Democracy. He was saying, Americans are living in a dream world about the way Government works. The average person doesn't have a clue what really goes on. We are so simple minded, we think if we vote someone in, they will do the right thing. Sorry, that is not the way it works.

We hope that we are not living in this movie and that Washington and our other officials are not as corrupt as this. It would appear that with the last President and his antics across the world, that we probably do. We can only pray that at some juncture, there will be a true revival in America. A revival of right and concern and true cooperation of our Government. Not always some type of dirty, behind the door actions that are geared to help the sitting officials lives, whether they better our lives or not.

Washington has become a standing joke. They have screwed America over and over. They have made us the laughing stock of the World. If America does not come to together to save ourselves, our Government is going to bury us in a flurry of hatred and despair. The Republicans have spent the last month spending our money and fighting the past. They have not created one job or solved one problem. Why?
