New Restroom for Grand Army Plaza in Prospect Heights
Neighborhood: Prospect Heights
Brooklyn, NY 11217
United States of America
Prospect Park's Grand Army Plaza is getting a new public restroom. The Department of Transportation (DOT) is installing the new facility across the street from the Brooklyn Public Library in Prospect Heights.

The new restroom will cost a quarter for each use and it automatically cleans itself after each visit. This high-tech bathroom is party of the DOT's redesigning of the Plaza Street ring. Other improvements include crosswalks, landscaped islands and bike paths.

This will be a convenient addition for shoppers who visit the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket every Saturday. There aren't any other restrooms in this section of the park and most shoppers usually have to stop by the library to user their facilities.
