New Season of 'The Bachelor-London Calling'

As yet another season of ABC's, The BACHELOR' commenced lastnight, I vividly remember the last season's competition. Where the bachelor wooed twenty five women eliminating them as the game continued. At the end, I truly beleived this once fortunate guy, was torn between two women he deeply cared for. At one point it was obvious to all of us at home who would emerge the happy lady with the biggest rock in the world on her fingers. Boy were we surprised when he dismissed her competition leaving her for last. After complimenting her about her looks and everything that said 'yes' about her. He then gaved her a really emotional speech, in the midst of which he paused and asked to be excused for a moment. This guy then begins to pace back and forth releiving the knot on his tie preparing us all for this GRAND moment. As he returned to the area where the now anxiously awaiting young lady stood, he proceeds to tell her how much he cares for her but cannot say that he loves her. Understandably she tells him you can grow to love me but he insists that it wouldn't be fair to her. She was ultimately crushed, I was even crushed and I am not an emotional one. The next day there was an interview with the bachelor and these very finalists who still were so destroyed emotionally but the next aspect I could not and still cannot comprehend. They proceed to direct questions at him as to why he couldn't fall in love with them and even if he did not love them at least considered giving them a try. Is this strange or is it me? How can women or an individual question someone's feelings for them or tell them how to react in the arena of love? If the other person is not as committed as you are, what makes you think that they are going to commit after things get more complicated? This made me lost for words but then reality struck and I realized everyone deserves a five to fifteen minute of fame in the spotlight.

Now, here we are at the commencement of yet another season of The Bachelor. There is a slight twist to this season so far. The bachelor is English and the contestants were not preveyed to this information before hand. Although this was not too hard for the ladies to realise after a few words with the suave English man. My first note to self 'Why would an obviously successful, intelligent, handsome heart throb come all the way to the United States to find a lifelong partner? It kind of brought me all the way back to Eddie Murphie's COMING TO AMERICA. But seriously, in the real world that we dwell how relatable and realistic is this kind of behavior? Wouldn't it be natural to search your homeland for a more compatible individual that would suit your needs as you do theirs? Ideally the aim of the show I beleive, is to have this person find someone that loves him for who he is and not what he has, someone that can be them selves while creating an impacting relationship with the bachelor or bachelorette. How can someone be themselves around another when they have to pretend to know about and further like or be able to accept his beleifs from his country. I guess this individual is either really fortunate or really clueless.
